What does payroll software do?

Single Touch Payroll allows employers to send employee tax and superannuation information from STP compliant software to the ATO as the payroll is processed. All employers must now, by law, report pay, tax and superannuation information to the ATO via STP compliant payroll software.

Is Easy Payslip STP Phase 2 Ready?

Yes.

We've reached an agreement with the ATO to begin STP Phase 2 reporting from 1 July 2023. This means no awkward split-financial years, like with some of our competitors.

All our users (including new users signing up today) are covered by our STP Phase 2 deferral with the ATO until that time.

So, you can start reporting STP with us today, then from 1 July you'll switch over to the new STP Phase 2 lodgements. In most cases, you won't have to do anything at all to transition. Easy!
